This year Cameron started Pre-K at Holland Elementary in a General Education classroom. His Gen Ed class was a little bit special though. It was taught by a special Ed teacher and had up to 49% kids with IEP's (like Cameron), but it followed gen ed coursework. This was the first year that Cameron was in a Gen Ed classroom and gives me hope that he will be able to start Kinder in a gen ed classroom. I'm not loving how far away his school is from our house, but the bus makes it awfully convenient... and allows Cameron to still sneak in a short nap in the afternoon.
