Cameron was outside playing with the big kids and apparently he slipped running through a muddy area of our backyard and smacked his head on one of the cement stepping stones. This left him with what appeared to be a deep hole in his forehead, but not a whole lot of blood coming out. Thankfully this happened late in the afternoon and after conferring with Aunt Laura and a few medically savy friends, Dan was home from work and I was able to take Cameron to the clinic with the hope of getting a butterfly strip or a stitch in his head. Unfortunately the clinic decided that he needed stitches and they wouldn't do it there, so instead they cleaned it, put a band-aid on it and sent us off to the ER. Knowing that we might be there for a while and it was now dinnertime, I swung through Burger King on our way to the ER.
Once we got called back at the ER, they put some numbing meds on Cameron's head (which he was not a huge fan of) and about an hour later they put two quick stitches in his head while myself of two nurses held him down. Once finished Cameron quickly went back to being his happy smiley self and waved at everyone as we left the hospital.
